MUSIC REVIEW: TONTO DIKEH PREMIERS HER MUSIC SINGLES, "HI" AND "ITZ OVA"

Controversial A-list Nollywood screen diva Tonto Dikeh made her music debut, with her two singles ‘HI’ and ‘ITZ OVA’ in the early hours of today. Already, it seems her music career is heading for either an abrupt  or slow death, if the current controversy trailing her music is any indication. Currently trending on  social media especially twitter, our darling Tonto is facing severe criticism, encouragement from her die hand fans and uncomplimentary remarks, on her attempt at music. Her famous fans squadron has gone to war on her behalf on twitter and are ready to take the spoils. Lol

The actress turned musical artist fad, is one that hasn't had a successful run in Nigeria, with the likes of brilliant actress/actress, Jim Ike, Genevieve Nnaji, Omotola Jalande Ekiende, and others, failing abysmally in their attempts at music. The reason been that, though brilliant at acting, all of the courageous fools few who tried their hand at music,were quite horrid at it

My opinion?..... Though techno pop is currently trending, often times, it ends up as jarring noise, if not produced properly. To put it mildly, the songs lack originality, flavor and the auto tune was ridiculously overdone. Hopefully, Tonto next tracks will enable us, determine if she has got musical talent or not, as these tracks didn't.
