Beck, Sam Smith, Beyoncé , Angelique Kidjo, Roseanne Cash et al Win Big at the 57th Grammy Awards 2015
The 57th annual Grammy Awards held last night at The Staples Centre in Los Angeles, and was hosted by LL Cool J.
To the shock of Beyoncé solders and Sam Smith fans worldwide, Beck 'Morning Phase' took home the coveted Album of the Year Award, leading to Kanye west ‘almost’ repeat performance of his 2009 VMAs outrage when he interrupted Taylor Swift winning speech to express his displeasure that she won the coveted award instead of Queen Bey’s “single ladies”
"Morning Phase," Beck's winning album released in February 2014, came after "Odelay," "Mutations," "Midnight Vultures," "Sea Change," "Guero," "The Information" and "Modern Guilt," and a ton of successful singles.
Sam smith took home four Grammy gong to his very vocal thanks cum surprise, publicly thanking his ex for breaking his heart as that enabled his dream come true. 22 year old Sam smith record was inspired by his heartbreak from his now ex-lover.
Africa own Benin Republic Angelique Kidjo - 'Eve' bagged the Grammy gong for Best World Music Album making her the only African to take home a Grammy this year.
