Fashion Biggest Trends 2023 | GTCO Fashion Weekend
Worthy of
note is the flawless execution of the project, from the styling, make-up and
music; to the fact that all collection showcased on the runway was the latest
collection from the participating designers.
From the cultural heritage invoked by Ituen Basi, the primal drama of Pepper Row, the oriental vibes of Nwko, the urban sophistication of IDMA NOF, David Tlale’s 70s-inspired glamour, Studio189’s Afrocentric fabulosity, Fruchhe’s exquisite designs to Lazamaleombho fashion-forward collection; the GTCO Fashion Weekend, offered global fashion lovers a veritable bouquet of style treasures.
Deconstructed
fashion staples are still at the helm of fashion trends in 2023 as seen by
their overwhelming presence on the runway at the fashion weekend. Other top
trends include African-inspired two-piece suits, vintage corsets worn as
outerwear, layered supersized ruffles and frills, overblown structured sleeves,
pleats/ prints, cut-outs, wide flair slit pants, maxi, midis, drapey tunics,
bust bands, crops, and androgynous play suits.
The colours, fabrics and designs of the couture at GTCO Fashion Weekend looked fabulous.
ReplyDeleteI absolutely adore the frills, ruffles, tulle, corsetry (and intimate apparel) incorporated into the couture on display there. The attendees also looked very attractive and fashionably dressed.
