COME PARTY WITH MAVADO ON BOXING DAY AT THE SOUNDCLASH FESTIVAL

Dancehall Superstar Mavado, signed to Dj Khaled (We the Best Music) and Lil Wayne’s Young Money Record Label will light up Muri Okunola Park with Akon’s World Famous DJ Benny D alongside 40 other African performers and DJ’s in the heart of Victoria Island, Lagos on Boxing Day at an all night rave; Sound Clash Festival.

Boxing Day is set to be one of the major highlights of the Christmas holiday celebration in Lagos this year with the emergence of Sound Clash Festival, an all-night rave and concert taking place in a secure open air venue with a three thousand man capacity. With high tech light designs and a variety of side shows, Sound clash promises to celebrate the season in style, amidst the stunning backdrop of Muri Okunola Park, Victoria Island.

Organizers of the event are eager to stress that this festival is nothing like the regular Nigerian concert experience. In the words of Mr Solomon Sonaiya; one of the organizers of the event, "Sound Clash is about quality entertainment. We are creating an environment of pure unadulterated excitement that people can look forward to every year on boxing day."  Indeed an exciting lineup of activities will be on offer all night to thrill and entertain audiences. With over thirty performers on stage, 7 DJ’s spinning the latest Dancehall, Hip-Hop, R N’ B and house music, a  one thousand  dollar wet T-shirt contest, a Dance clash, food vendors, bazaar, assorted bars and loads of surprise features, Sound Clash Festival promises to be the event of the year.

Party lovers and Fans of Dancehall will be delighted to learn that one of the top International reggae/dancehall artistes in the world; Mavado, who has produced some of the biggest songs to blaze dance floors in Nigeria and across the globe will be gracing the stage, as well as world famous celebrity Dj; Benny D, who is also the official exclusive Dj for superstar pop artist; Akon. The festival will also boast performances from Dj Jimmy Jatt and top African artistes like Eldee The Don, Sound Sultan, Kelmah (from Kenya), Vector, Chidinma, Ill Bliss, Chuddy K, Mo Eazy, Lynxxx, Black Magic, Zaina, Sasha P, General Pype, Dj Sose and over twenty more performers.  Hypers (MC’s) for the evening are MC Larry D, Ill Rymz (Host of Nigerian Idols), Yemisi Molu and Shine (Cool FM).

But this festival is not just about the musicians or DJ’s that will be performing, it's about catering to the partying desires of fun seeking Lagosians through an avalanche of sweat pumping, jaw dropping, smile cracking and mind tickling activities in an event flow that can only be described as non-stop. Definitely no dull moments.

The Sound Clash Festival will be hosted at Muri Okunola Park, Victoria Island Lagos, on 26 December 2012. Regular Tickets are set at an affordable rate of three thousand five hundred Naira (N3500) for purchases before the 26th of December, and five thousand Naira (N5000) for purchases at the venue on the 26th of December. VIP Tickets are set at Fifteen thousand Naira (N15000) for purchases before December 26th, and twenty thousand Naira at the venue on the 26th.
