Omoyemi Akerele, Creative Director of Lagos Fashion and Design Week stated: "We are delighted to be hosting the Nigerian showroom for the second year in a row at London Fashion Week. As the Nigerian fashion industry gradually emerges, it has become important for us to take fashion beyond the runway, to share our story which is deeply embedded in culture and history, to celebrate not just the designers but the traditional cloth weavers; artisans with inherent skills that have been passed down from generation to generation and a valuable source of job creation for families and communities at large."

Akerele further stated: "This year, we believe Carnaby Street's Kingly Court will provide a perfect backdrop for our selection of designers. By participating in this program, our designers will have unrivaled opportunities to interact with other designers from participating countries as well as key buyers and press at London fashion Week."

Style House Files has collaborated with the British Council in Nigeria for various projects as part of a vision to develop the Nigerian fashion industry.
