The year 2014 has being remarkable on the Nigerian fashion scene. Designers in the country and diaspora outdid themselves creating beautiful, exquisite, sophisticated and flirty fashion staples for the Nigerian and global fashionista. Nigerian designers got more global recognition of Nigerian at the elite fashion circles led by Lanre Da Silva-Ajayi of eponymous label LDA "Rock Delight” Collection Debut at Vogue Talents 2014 at the Palazzo Morando, Milan, Italy which had fashion legends like American Vogue Editor-in-Chief Anna Wintour, Vogue Italia Editor-in-Chief Franca Sozzani and Omoyemi Akerele of Style House Files in attendance.

Inclusive in the global recognition and exposure platform feats of the Nigerian fashion industry this year are, Arise Magazine Fashion showcase at the Mercedes Benz Fashion week New York, the numerous international press, magazine, bloggers and designers collaborations, global superstars spotted wearing proudly Nigerian fashion designed staples, GTB Lagos Fashion and Design week, FADAN exhibitions, to the upcoming British council International showcase in 2015 which will showcase amongst others five of Nigeria’s most creative young designers at London Fashion Week.
The Nigerian Fashionistas and style celebrities were not left out of the style loop as they took advantage of the designer’s creative fruitfulness to step out in the best style fashionably possible to them. Hence it took me a long while to narrow down the list of awesome fashionistas who had consistently hit the ultimate style mark for fabulist in 2014.
