Africa Fashion Week Nigeria 2015 Highlights

Despite the downpour experience in the city of Lagos last weekend, style enthusiast, fashionistas, African designers and both local and international press turned up to witness the second edition of Africa Fashion Week Nigeria held last weekend at the Eko hotels & suites. 

The event saw the best of Nigeria and Africa young and emerging designers, showcasing their fabulous style creations, to a fascinated audience, fulfilling the AFWN creative team certainly fulfilled their aim to showcase the very best in as yet undiscovered fashion designers across Africa. 

Trendy fabrics, spotted on the runway by our style spotters includes proudly African fabrics with Vlisco prints leading the pack, lace, velvet, satin, linen, faux leather, lycra et al.

Almost all the young designers showcased showed some promises while a few like ………. Shone bright as their creative brilliance was reflected in their attention to detail and finishingS.

Highlights from the event included the Award segment of the show, where deserving individuals were recognized for their various contributions and impact to the Nigerian fashion world. Winners includes-

Amidst the expected glitz and glamour, executive president of EbonyLife Tv Mo Abudu stood out, looking gorgeous and fiddle fit in black, while Denrele Edu entertained everyone with his usual crazy fashion outfit and red carpet pranks.
