MY AFWN 2015 Look DAY 1| Monochrome, Polka Dots, & Crops

Hi style lovers, AFWN held last week and it was fun. Initially I had no idea what to wear Africa Fashion Week Nigeria 2015. I had previously decided to take the lazy route by reaching out to my designers’ network to cloth me for the event but alas, most of the cloths sent to me wasn’t what I wanted. I finally saw a black dress that fit the look I wanted to achieve for the event but the designer got sick and was admitted in the hospital.
The morning of Day One of the event dawned dark and dreary, with a steady downpour that made the thought of going out almost depressing. I was a media partner, so I shook off the mood and tackled my wardrobe while sipping some green tea for inspiration. Eventually I decided on a monochromatic theme.

Day one: I paired my A|Wear midi satin crop pants with a Mrp polka dot crop top, my younger sister got for me from her trip to South Africa. Personally I had stayed away from wearing short crops cos my abs are currently not worthy to stand beside Kaffy’s, due to lack of discipline and consistent commitment on my part. I decided to throw caution to the winds and wore the crop top anyhow reasoning that my silver lining would be motivation enough for the future lol.
