Fashion week has come and gone but the provocative beauty moments and inspiration gleaned from it is certainly here to stay. From the high-voltage statement makeup of super bold lips and inverted lined eyes to the understated glamour of barely -there brows, beauty enthusiast had a gamut of inspiration to pick from. Of course the body diversity displayed on the run/walkways of the shows proved to the style and beauty cynic that inclusivity has indeed come to stay and I fully endorse it.
Below are six beauty take-home trends from the just concluded Heineken Lagos Fashion and Design week 2017.
1.
Big bold lips: Super bold lips are back with bang and red is not the colour of choice. Think neutral and earth tones and you will be right on the mark.

2.
Mazi-nude: Minimalist beauty lovers have something to smile about as the barely-there nude makeup is back in vogue. Think flawless and glowing facial skin (with the help of your favourite foundation) and light skin-tone matte shadows, lips stain and gloss.

Extreme long hair: the emphasis is on super long length in both extensions and attachments. The seeming hairstyle of choice is ponytail.

4.
Individualistic Statement eyes: from come hither glances to shady feline slants the statements eye makeup trend is back with a smoky tilt. The emphasis is all about dressing your eyes to the max, so break out those shadows and eyeliners and get creative.
5.
Body –positivity and Diversity: From plus-sized models to body conscious fashion staples featured on the runways, size diversity is no longer just a movement but a new beauty trend. So are you small, medium or plus-sized and was feeling self-conscious about your size? Its’s time to fully embrace your size and step out in style because it is now all about body positivity and diversity.
